Seeking a versatile and passionate Brewer’s Assistant interested in making high quality beer in an innovative segment of the craft beer market. Athletic Brewing is at the forefront of a non-alcoholic craft beer revolution. The opportunity offered by this role can be just as vast in a rapidly growing company. Professional responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Brewery Supervisor / Brewery Manager
  • The Brewer-in-Training role will learn the brewing process by starting in the cellar and learning the basic sanitary practices involved in brewing. Remediation activities include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning of floors, drains, tank faces, disinfection of brewing parts.

  • Participate in all aspects of wort production to assist the brewing team, including but not limited to:

Ingredient receiving/storage, grinding, weighing, stirring, boiling, transferring, seeding, aeration, tracking and recording in written and digital form

  • Assist the brewing team in all winery activities, including but not limited to:

Monitoring and recording, CIP and SIP, yeast handling, filtration, cleaning, transfers.

  • Professional and meticulous use of all chemicals in the brewery
  • Helps with quality assurance by performing DO measurements, CIP verification, PH and gravity readings.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Brewer’s diploma not required but considered favourably.
  • Experience in cellar production and brewing is appreciated.
  • Previous experience in food production is appreciated.
  • Experience with tools preferred.
  • Experience with sanitation and cleaning systems preferred.

  • Salary: According to experience – Base salary and opportunities for performance bonuses.
  • Benefits: health, vision, dental, life, 401,000 with 5% company match, and paid parental leave paid by the company
