âWhile we love an in-person book festival, we recognize that the world has changed and that there is a struggle to develop meaningful programming in real time. The Simon & Schuster AuthorFest is an opportunity for book lovers to meet their favorite authors and discover new ones in the safety and comfort of their own world, âsaid Holly Lange, Executive Director of the Mississippi Book Festival .
The first AuthorFest event will take place on October 14 at 7 p.m. EST and will feature international bestselling author Bob Woodward and acclaimed journalist Robert Costa in a conversation about their new book “Peril,” which is the extraordinary story of the end of one presidency and the beginning of another. Mindy Marqués, vice president and editor-in-chief of Simon & Schuster and former editor-in-chief of the Miami Herald will moderate the discussion.
