A right-wing Christian author claimed COVID-19 was sent by God as punishment for American culture being “so pro-LGBT.”

William Koenig previously claimed that God sent natural disasters as warnings during US-led peace talks pressure Israel to divide its land and blamed the droughts in California on same-sex marriage.

In a recent appearance on the radio show “Understanding the Times” by right-wing ministry chief Jan Markell, he claimed COVID-19 was a “judgment” on the widespread acceptance of LGBTQ people, Right wing guard reports.

Koenig and Markell also accused LGBTQ people of preparing children to be “cared for and sexualized”, calling it a “war on children”.

Merkell launched the attack on his July 29 show, calling LGBTQ rights a “bombardment of one aberration after another.”

She then read an excerpt from Koenig’s newsletter saying, “The latest LGBTQ letter is Q for Questioning, which is meant to confuse children enough to question their sexuality so that they can be. cared for and evangelized.

Merkell commented, “It’s so true, Bill, this is a war on children.”

Koenig responded by calling the COVID-19 pandemic “part of [God’s] judgement.”

“We had a nationwide shutdown last summer. We’ve had all the major sports leagues that have promoted the LGBT agenda, that have even taken over the states for their bathroom bills, ”he said.

“When you think of Hollywood, it’s been closed. We thought fashion was closed. Retail has been closed. All of these areas that were so pro-LGBT, COVID shut them down, and I don’t know if they’ll ever get over it. “

Koenig continued, “Don’t touch the children. It crosses the line. It’s tragic to see what they do, and our God will react even more. It is judgment. It is a model of judgment. Everything about it fits the model of judgment; I’m sorry, there is no other way to put it.

Koenig assists anti-LGBTQ Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Va., Whose pastor Gary Hamrick has attacked LGBTQ people and denounced efforts to support transgender people.

Earlier this year, Hamrick claims that members of the Loudon County School Board were “emotionally abusing our children by perpetuating the gender confusion lie,” after the police were introduced to assert the pronouns of transgender students.

Hamrick called the movement “contrary to biology, to reality and to the beautiful purpose of God.”

Koenig, meanwhile, previously claimed the droughts in California were God’s punishment for same-sex marriage.

“We have a state which, time and time again, will go against the word of God, which will continually take positions on marriage and abortion and on a lot of things that are just completely against the scriptures,” Koenig said in 2015.

“Unfortunately, a lot of times when it starts in California it spreads to the rest of the country and even the rest of the world. So there could very likely be a drought component in this judgment. “
