Luton Children Encouraged To Enter The Big Trunk Trail Creative Writing Contest

Luton kids are invited to enter The Mall’s Big Trunk Trail Creative Writing Contest.

the competetion aims to help foster the imagination within the local community, as well as showcase the fantastic writing talent that Luton has to offer.

To enter the contest, all participants need to do is write a short story or poem about the elephant at the “Shine Bright” mall.

The Mall is hosting a creative writing contest for all ages!

The competition is open to all ages from five years old and is divided into different categories with prizes as indicated:

– From five to seven years old – Price: £ 30 Artist voucher and a Big Trunk Trail t-shirt

– From 8 to 10 years old – Price: £ 30 Artist’s voucher and Big Trunk Trail t-shirt

– From 11 to 13 years old – Prize: a £ 30 Argos voucher and a Big Trunk Trail t-shirt

The Mall is hosting a creative writing contest for all ages!

– From 14 to 15 years old – Prize: a £ 30 Argos voucher and a Big Trunk Trail t-shirt

– Ad from 16 years old – Price: Argos voucher of £ 30 and Big Trunk Trail t-shirt.

The Big Trunk Trail was such a hit with the local community, with hundreds of people exploring Luton in search of the various colorful elephants located around town.

The Trail is free for everyone and thanks to Keech Hospice Care in partnership with Wild in Art.

Lavinia Douglass, Marketing Manager at The Mall Luton, said: “Here at The Mall we are constantly looking to encourage and support local creativity, we hope our creative writing competition will inspire aspiring writers of all ages to take their pencils and participate. !

“The overwhelming response we have received towards ‘Shine Bright’ and The Big Trunk Trail has been fantastic. We are very happy to offer the competition as part of the initiative.”

The mall sponsored the Elephant Shine Bright, which was designed and painted by local artist Beverley Sweetman. The Shine Bright is located in St George’s Square.

Visitors can also expect to be greeted by 15 baby elephants located inside the mall – all decorated by local schools and community groups.

As part of the Monster Mall Friends Club, members who visit Ask Me Point during the Big Trunk Trail will receive a free gift – a ceramic elephant piggy bank.
