Celebrity author Sandra Cisneros will join the Pender County Library via Zoom for a hybrid in-person / virtual discussion on “The House on Mango Street” and her most recent book, “Martita, I Remember You,” at 4 p.m. on Thursday November 4. .
Cisneros is an internationally renowned poet, short story writer, novelist and artist. Cisneros has received the American Book Award, NEA Fellowships in Poetry and Fiction, Texas Medal of the Arts, PEN Center USA Literary Award, National Medal of the Arts Award, and many other prestigious awards.
Participants can choose to participate in person at the Burgaw branch, located at 103 S. Cowan Street or in Hampstead, 75 Library Drive or online.
